REDDITCH people should have the chance to vote on the future of their market, says a Redditch councillor calling for a referendum.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Nigel Hicks said Redditch Market in Royal Square had suffered a decline in trade and was being completely overlooked since its relocation from Market Place.
Earlier this month, The Advertiser spoke to market traders who said profits were plummeting, despite the installation of the new £150,000 Gateway Feature designed to entice shoppers into the market.
