FLAG waving is encouraged at The Elgar Prom at Stratford's Civic Hall on Friday when The Orchestra of the Swan performs their finale concert of the season.
The concert opens with the Enigma Variations and is followed by Elgar's cello concerto featuring Matt Sharp as solo cellist in a welcome return to the Hall.
Orchestra Artistic Director David Curtis, pictured, said: "We are delighted to welcome him back. His performance of the Dvorak cello concerto last year was quite sensational and we are delighted he has been able to accept our invitation to perform with us again."
The programme also includes Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance March No1 and No4. A spokesman said: "Wave your flags and sing along to Land of Hope and Glory."
Tickets for the concert, which begins at 7.30pm, are priced £18-22 from the box office on 01789 207100 or online at www.civichall.co.uk
