THE Redditch Orchestra's Summer Concert, on Saturday at Kingsley College, is described as "an ideal introduction to a full symphony orchestra for younger children."
Conductor John Graham will direct the orchestra through a varied programme including Saint Saens' Dance Macabre, Verdi's Overture to Nabucco and Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker with music by Copland, Delius and Elgar. Music from popular stage shows and cinema classics are also featured, including Les Miserables, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves and The Lord of the Ring.
Tickets for the concert, which begins at 7.30pm, are £6 (£4 concessions, £14 family) in advance from the town centre information kiosk and on the door on the night.
