HEREFORDSHIRE could only take 10 points from a draw at Shropshire, despite a feast of well over 1,000 runs.
The visitors blasted 403 and 344 all out after batting first in the three-day Minor Counties clash but Shropshire responded with 384-6 declared and 148-3 to claim 12 points.
After championship debutant Gulsharez Ahmed hit 131 in Herefordshire's first innings, Harshad Patel (91), Duncan Willetts (48) and David Exall (47) starred in the second knock.
But they had little joy with the ball at Bridgnorth after Peter Trego took 4-110 from 30 overs in the first innings.
For Shropshire, former Worcestershire player Duncan Catterall scored 68, took 1-45 and 3-87 with the ball and ended the game on 27 not out.
