CHADDESLEY maintained their escape bid from the bottom half of the Worcester League Division One with their second win of the season on Saturday.
Victory ensured that Corbett, who had been bottom of the table four weeks ago, have managed to move to ninth and 40 points away from the basement side Luctonians.
Ian Chambers took an economical 4-30 to keep Corbett's new;y promoted Redditch based rivals to 199.
Dave Robinson hit 60 runs as Corbett replied with 203-6.
Chaddesley Corbett take on mid-table Bewdley at home on Saturday (1.30pm start).
Alvechurch and Hopwood 187 all out Ombersley 188-3
Ombersley win by seven wickets
TABLE-topping Ombersley was too strong for Alvechurch in Division One on Saturday.
Captain Calvin Flowers produced a fine all round performance with the bat and ball to keep his in-form side at the top.
He took 5-60 to keep newly promoted Alvechurch to 187 all out.
He then top scored for his side, hitting 88.
Duncan Catterall (64) was also in excellent form with the bat as Ombersley cruised to 188-3.
Ombersley will be aiming to maintain their table-topping form on Saturday, when they take on fourth placed Stourbridge away from home (1.30pm start).
