DUMBLETON suffered their first Gloucester-shire group defeat in six seasons when they lost by five wickets at Redmarley in Sunday's npower Village Cup.
The final saw the visitors rattle up 198-6 from their 40 overs and it looked enough when Redmarley stood at 107-5.
However, a sixth wicket stand of 92 in 13 overs ended Dumbleton's hopes of a place in the last 32 for the sixth successive summer.
Graeme Piesse top scored with 61, while 40 from Rob Churchman and an unbeaten 32 from Mike Gibson helped the Gloucestershire/Wiltshire side to a decent total but the top flight basement side staged a late recovery to snatch a famous victory.
