Cookhill were given a real scare by Welford but kept their nerve in a tight
finish to remain unbeaten and top of Division Six.
Cookhill were bowled for 142 with Nick Charles celebrating his 24th birthday by top scoring with 38.
The Cookhill bowlers kept things tight, Simon Edmunds two for 14, Andy Fennell
three for 21 and Alan Smith three for 15 giving their side a chance. Welford needed five to win off the last two overs with their last pair at the crease but a bizarre run-out gave Cookhill the victory, Welford ending on 138.
The leaders visit Blockley on Saturday (2pm start).
