RIVALS Astwood Bank and Alvechurch & Hopwood are both off-colour ahead of Saturday's derby meeting.
Alvechurch sit seventh in Division One whilst the Bank are wallowing third-from-bottom, and both warmed up for Saturday's encounter (1.30pm start) with dispiriting defeats at the weekend.
Bank's disappointing start continued with a four-wicket defeat at home to fellow strugglers Chaddesley Corbett whose maximum points return saw them leapfrog the Sambourne Lane side.
The former National Village Knockout finalists pocketed just five points to leave them just five points ahead of the relegation picture.
Although three places higher up the table, Alvechurch and Hopwood are in a similarly precarious position, just ten points clear of the mire lending an added edge to a local clash which could leave the losers deep in trouble.
