A TOP talk to mark the start of National Carers Week was held at a Stoke Heath museum.
Worcestershire County Council carers' unit held the event at Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings.
Author Luke Clements was guest of honour and he talked to carers and professionals about the key issues that impacted on carers and local services.
Around 100 people attended the event which focused on the support that carers needed and the rights of the people being looked after.
The authority said there were people who didn't consider themselves as carers because they were looking after their own children or loved ones. These people were missing out on vital support and information that could help them in their role as unpaid helpers.
