MINDLESS vandals went on a car-wrecking rampage in two Spa streets on Sunday.

And now witnesses are being asked to come forward with any nuggets of information that might help police track down those responsible.

Droitwich Spa police are concerned that more than 30 vehicles may have been vandalised or had car logo badges stolen from outside homes in Impney Way and Impney Green, in the Hill End area of the town, over the weekend.

Police believe the vandals may have struck between 11.20am and 9.20pm and parents are being asked to quiz their children about where they were between those times, if they do not already know.

Owners of eight cars in Impney Way and five in Impney Green have already reported their vehicles being targeted.

But now police are waiting to hear from other Spa residents who might have been away over the weekend and have come home to discover the damage to their cars.

A police spokesman said: "We would like to hear from members of the public who were in the two streets between the given period to come forward with information that will help our inquiries."

He added: "Additionally, we also appeal to parents who cannot account for the whereabouts of children who were out and about at these times. Two youths - aged about 12-16 - were seen in the area at about 6.30pm."
