A TOPSY-TURVY season again hit a low point as Pershore slumped to a 95-run reverse at Redditch last Saturday.
Australian Simon Allison left the visitors regretting their decision to field first as he and Dan Protherough added a century opening stand.
Protherough had scored just 14 when he was dismissed but Allison went on to reach three figures although by this time Pershore had pegged back the scoring to 156-4.
However, a fifth wicket stand of 64 between Gailey and Davis saw the good work of Tom Bales and spinners David Powles and Lee Wilks go to waste as the hosts went on to set a target of 241.
Redditch struck an early blow with the ball and only David White, who made 40, managed to battle it out against the pace attack.
Wickets fell at regular intervals and, at 94-8, an embarrassing loss loomed large. Enter Mark Stevens and Martin Johnson and, not for the first time this season, the pair showed their more loftier contemporaries how to do it!
Stevens top scored with 41 while Johnson's 14 ensured respectability as the visitors ended a miserable afternoon with 145.
Sunday's Clubs League clash against Feckenham saw Per-shore amass 228 from their 45 overs with Chris Ridings top scoring with an impressive 47.
Feckenham were always struggling in reply and did well to reach 186 after losing half their side with only 96 on the board.
Powles, Steve Emsley and Paul Bozward all took a couple of wickets as pride was swiftly salvaged after Saturday's defeat.
The club's second string rec-orded a comfortable Saturday success after Rob Handley had struck a superb 125 in a total of 260-6 against Studley.
The Warwickshire visitors were up against it from the start after tea but battled gallantly to close on 234-8 to thwart home victory hopes.
The first team plays host to Beacon on Saturday (1pm).
