PLANS to relieve the misery of visitors to Alvechurch every year - who want to "pay a visit" but can't - have been hit by inconvenient delays.
For there aren't any public toilets.
And plans to build a plush toilet block in the village centre have been deferred by Bromsgrove District Council.
A chain of events has lead up to the delays which have plunged visitors into despair.
And public loos are part of the second phase of the Alvechurch car park development now being recommended by the council.
Parish councillor Mr Charles Strain, who is campaigning for the rights of the red-faced visitor, said: "It can be very embarrassing for people when they visit the village and can't find anywhere to go.
"But we have been trying to get a toilet block for over 25 years and I don't suppose a few more months will make any difference."
