ALCESTER businesses are being asked to fund an art project which will brighten up three of the town's tueries.
The tueries, or alleyways, are main routes into the town centre from the car parks and have been described as dark and dismal.
But after the proposed makeover, Oak Tuery, Bulls Head Yard and Market Way will be clean and light and boasting attractive artwork.
Advantage Alcester has spearheaded the project, which could cost up to £100,000, and commissioned artists from Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council to carry out the work.
Now the board has invited business bosses to sponsor individual aspects of the design to "publicly stamp their mark on Alcester", from a Roman-themed inset in the paving to fingerposts and lighting columns.
