AFTER losing in the semi-finals of the county pairs competition when partnered by Yvonne Hopkins, Broadway's Viv Hall will be hoping for better fortunes when she plays in the semi-finals of the Two-Wood event.
Hopkins, meanwhile, did go one better when reaching the last four of the ladies county rinks where she will be joined by Judy Speake, Debbie Comp-ton and Di Jackson.
Hopkins and Speake were in action for a depleted club side for last Saturday's visit to Pershore.
The hosts were only able to field four Triples for the Con-corde League clash and that meant a loss of half a point and five shots to their hosts.
Defeats on two of the three rinks didn't help their cause on the green where Doris Gleg-horn, Betty Mansion and Joan Parfitt (29-15) were the only winners.
Hopkins, Maureen Allen and Sue Davies lost 15-14, while Speake, Jeanette Barnes and Elaine Crosbie lost 25-14 in the 60-57 reverse.
