KIDDERMINSTER Victoria have jumped to the top of the Worcestershire Sunday Club League and are now three points ahead of Barnt Green.
This week's victory was over Droitwich, when Kyle McAllister took 5-40 and Phil Shaw 3-11, and Divan van Wyk top scored with for 65no. Craig Wood added 35no.
Droitwich batted first and notched 216 in 43.5 overs. Rain then held up play and the KVCC target was reduced, leaving them to score 113 in 23 overs. They reached their revised target in just 16 overs without loss.
Scores: Droitwich 216, KVCC 114-0.
Jon Boult led Bewdley first team to their first points of the season, hitting 165no in an excellent eight-wicket victory over Old Elizabethans. Rob Combes added a useful 55.
Scores: Old Elizabethans 248-2, Bewdley 252-2.
KVCC Seconds swapped places with Ombersley at the top of the table, but are only second by virtue of wickets taken, both teams being on 30 points.
The KVCC side beat Droitwich by five wickets on Sunday, David Wardle notching 51.
Scores: Droitwich 202-4, KVCC 2nd 203-5.
Bewdley Seconds' match against Bretforton had to be abandoned, each team taking one point, again Bewdley's first point this season.
