A CHARITY which supports deaf people in the UK has received a cheque for more than £2,000 which was raised by a Worcestershire bank worker.
Stuart Forrest swapped his computer for running shoes to take part in April's London Marathon.
He raised £2,500 for the Royal Institute for the Deaf. Of that, £500 was donated by his employer, NatWest, as part of its community cashback award scheme.
"I started running to improve my fitness and I saw the London Marathon as being a personal challenge and a fantastic opportunity to support the Royal Institute for the Deaf," said Mr Forrest, who works as a business manager covering Worcester, Droitwich and Malvern.
"The marathon was equally special for me knowing that the bank was giving me its support."
