VALE tradesmen have been reminded not to leave tools in their vehicles overnight following a spate of thefts in Evesham.

Two drills - Makita 110v drill and a Bosch worth £250 each - were found to be missing from a white Fiat Ducato parked on Lindsey Avenue at 10am on Monday.
On the same morning a trader who had left a similar vehicle on Isbourne Crescent found that a De Walt multi-tool, Hitachi router and Metabo drill - together valued at £1,140 - had been stolen.
Two De Walt masonry drills, a Ryobi cordless screwdriver and a Hitachi cordless screwdriver, together valued at £1,290, were discovered stolen from a Volkswagen van on King's Road the following morning, Tuesday.
As well as these reported incidents, police are also waiting hear from the owners of two other vans that were targeted this week. It is not yet known what was stolen from a blue Citroen Relay van, parked on King's Road on Sunday night, and a white Ford Escort that was left on Anne Crescent on Monday evening.
Police spokesman Richard Bull said: "We cannot stress too firmly how important it is to make the thieves' task harder - and, ideally, impossible."
