A KEEN Astley Cross gardener has been surprised by news that he is appearing on Croatian TV screens.
President of Stourport Horticultural Society, Michael Ecob, first appeared on the BBC programme, Curious Gardeners, in 2001.
The show, which featured his home garden, is now being shown with subtitles in the Balkan country.
Mr Ecob, who worked for Fisons for 35 years as an agricultural advisor, explained how he was surprised by the news.
He said: "I was a bit taken aback when an old friend told me about the show. His son has bought a house in the country and, to his amazement, I was on the television.
"When I filmed the original piece for television I had great fun. It is quite nice to know it's still being shown in other countries."
