AN appeal for witnesses is being made after an elderly woman suffered head injuries on a bus.
The woman, in her 70s, fell from her seat when the bus stopped suddenly and is now in a critical condition at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, where she was taken by ambulance.
The incident occurred when the number 8 First bus stopped suddenly on Habberley Road in Kidderminster at around 10am on Saturday.
It was approaching the Habberley Estate when the woman was injured near The Briars pub.
PC Paul Downes of North Worcestershire Road Policing Support Unit said they were keen to trace anyone who was on the bus or driving or walking nearby.
Police are also keen to speak to the occupants of a dark saloon car in the area at the time.
