MORE than 1,000 children will learn how to deal with hazardous situations during an event being held near Bewdley.
Wyre Forest and District Young Citizen Challenge 2005 is being staged by West Mercia Constabulary at Trimpley Reservoir from Monday until Friday, July 8.
About 1,100 youngsters aged 10 and 11 will be given advice on accident prevention, as well as fire and water safety by experts.
Among them will be Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, the Royal Life Saving Society, Severn Area Rescue Association and Space - an organisation providing advice for young people about drugs and alcohol.
