THERE is a fun day at Pink Hall Cottage, Birtsmorton, the delightful home of George and Pauline Houghton, on Saturday, July 2, with a varied menu to tempt all the family.
A walk across the local footpaths has been organised from 10am-noon (boots needed) taking in the beautiful local scenery. From noon there will be Scottish dancing followed by duck racing at 12.30pm. Also croquet game demonstration, a picnic lunch at 1.30pm, country dancing with a caller at 2pm and fun cricket at 2.30pm.
Also try your hand at croquet with a croquet mallet, teams of three aim for the highest score at skittles, treasure hunt, tombola, cake stall, book stall and others. Drinks are for sale and please bring your own chair.
We will be pleased to welcome all our local friends. The walk will start at 10am prompt, otherwise arrive for games at 11am. All proceeds to Lansdowne Methodist Church. The venue will be signposted.
It's now nearly 12 months since the launch of our 100 Club, so we do hope that all of you that supported us will be happy to renew your subscription. Our next draw on July 10 will be for £50. It's never to late, just give me a call. Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
