WHEN Henry Prego appeared on stage as Frank Sinatra, a ripple of shock went through the Malvern Theatres audience.

His resemblance to Ol' Blue Eyes was uncanny and when he launched into Luck Be a Lady, everybody knew a fantastic evening's entertainment was in store.

Allie Laurie played a cheeky Sammy Davis Jnr, thrilling the audience with renditions of classic songs, including a fine version of Mr Bojangles.

Nigel Casey stepped into the shoes of a whisky-soaked Dean Martin. He had the ladies swooning with numbers like That's Amore and Volare.

Not to be outshone, the actresses playing sister act The Berelli Sisters - Miranda Wilford, Lauren Cattell and Keeley Jane Jackson - were superb and glamorous.

The Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas doesn't have a plot but doesn't need one as the audience is swept into the atmosphere of the Sands Night Club.

Seeing three musical greats joke together and attempt to upstage each other is particularly enjoyable, although it is always clear Sinatra is in charge.

This show is the closest you'll get to seeing musical legends perform live and the only time I've seen a Malvern Theatres give a standing ovation.

The Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas runs until tomorrow (Saturday). Tickets are £19.50 to £27.50 from the box office on 01684 892200.
