CATTLE
THE Longhorn, Blackbrook Obi-Wan, owned by Mr Gray, of Newtown House, Lower Eggleton, was named supreme champion in the cattle section at the show. It also took first in the junior male class.
There was a second for Mr Gray with Blackbrook Nemesis in the senior female section and a second and fifth in the Hereford section.
Martell and Son, of Dymock, won two thirds and a very highly commended in the Gloucester cattle junior section. There were two placings for Ms Evans, of Longlands, Whitbourne, for entries in the cattle section.
Mr G Blandford, of Temple Court, Bosbury, walked off with a second and third in the Hereford section plus senior male champion reserve with Reydon 1 Rocket.
There were also two seconds and a fourth for Mr Richards, of Lower Hope Estate, Ullingswick.
In the same section, Mr Bradstock, of Free Town, Tarrington, scored three firsts and the senior female champion reserve with Free Town Peace.
Also in the section, there was a seventh for Marsh Court Farm, Eldersfield.
In the Aberdeen Angus section, there was a fourth place from Mr Smith Maxwell's herd at Welland Lodge Farm, Upton-upon-Severn, and a win for Miss Smith, of Grove Farm, Knightwick.
The Devon section produced two seconds and three thirds for Mrs Farquhar's herd at Hansnett Farm, Canon Frome, while Bredon School managed a second in the South Devon section.
Commercial cattle classes saw two firsts, a second and a third for Mr G Brooke, of Barley Farm, Alfrick.
Sheep
There was a Colwall one-two in the Beltex section, with Mr D Bishop, of Luggs Mill, Old Church Road, securing supreme champion (male or female).
Reserve supreme champion came from Mr A Bishop, of Allan Bank, Walwyn Road, and there were also class placings for Ms J McAree, of Knapp Farm, Pixley.
Ms J Evans, of Longlands, Whitbourne, secured two placings in the Lleyn section and there was a first, a second and two thirds for Mr B Brooke, of Knapp End Farm, Alfrick, among the Rouge De L'Ouest.
The Suffolk section produced a champion male reserve for Mr Richards, of Lower Hope Estate, Ullingswick. The Ryelands provided two firsts, two seconds and a third for Mrs D Francis, of Wilton Oaks, Tarrington.
In the same section, there were placings for Miss Smillie, of Stoneyard Green, Coddington.
The Interbreed Sheep Championship saw a first for Mr O J Durling, of Stocks Farm, Munderfield, for a cross, including masham, mule and greyface.
Bredon School won a highly commended for a Hebridean entry.
