FRENCHMAN Alex Jeannin has finally become Hereford United's second summer signing.

The 27-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Graham Turner's side, ending weeks of speculation linking the left-back with a move to Edgar Street.

Jeannin arrived in Britain four years ago after linking up with Darlington.

He then spent nearly two seasons in the Nationwide Conference at Exeter before being released as the Grecians faced a cash crisis towards the end of last season.

In his time at St James Park, he played a key role in the FA Cup clash with Manchester United, a tie that saw the Premiership giants go through, thanks to a 2-0 replay win.

Jeannin, who can also play in midfield, then moved to Bristol Rovers but played just the once before finding himself without a club at the end of the season.

He is Turner's second signing of the summer following the arrival of winger Jon Brady from Stevenage.

And another former Football League player is expected to agree terms with the club in the next few days as Turner looks to build a promotion-challenging side.

n Bromsgrove Rovers manager Jimmy Mullen is delighted to have lured midfielder Carl Adams to the Victoria Ground.

Adams, who finished last season at Solihull, was set to link up with Evesham in time for pre-season.

But the experienced 31-year-old has instead opted for the Southern League Division One West outfit.

Adams' previous clubs include Stevenage, Hednesford, Leigh RMI and Nuneaton, while he played for Kettering Town in the last FA Trophy final at Wembley in 2000.

"Carl felt that after talking to both managers, we offered him the better option," Mullen said.

"I saw him play a couple of times when he was at Stevenage Borough -- he is a fine creative midfielder."

Mullen added he was still in talks with other players, including a striker and a goalkeeper.

Meanwhile, a friendly has been arranged between Bromsgrove and Hereford on Wednesday, July 27.
