FRENCHMAN Alex Jeannin has finally become Hereford United's second summer signing.

The 27-year-old put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Graham Turner's side, ending weeks of speculation linking the left-back with a move to Edgar Street.

Jeannin arrived in Britain four years ago after linking up with Darlington.

He then spent nearly two seasons in the Nationwide Conference at Exeter before being released as the Grecians faced a cash crisis towards the end of last season.

In his time at St James Park, he played a key role in the FA Cup clash with Manchester United, a tie that saw the Premiership giants go through, thanks to a 2-0 replay win.

Jeannin, who can also play in midfield, then moved to Bristol Rovers but played just the once before finding himself without a club at the end of the season.

He is Turner's second signing of the summer following the arrival of winger Jon Brady from Stevenage.

And another former Football League player is expected to agree terms with the club in the next few days as Turner looks to build a promotion-challenging side.

STRIKER Christian Moore is finally poised to leave Worcester City.

St George's Lane chairman Dave Boddy said the experienced frontman had agreed terms with another as yet unnamed Nationwide North club but needed to undergo a medical before completing the move.

Striker Moore is keen for the deal to go through as quickly as possible as he wants to be on board when his prospective new club returns for pre-season next Tuesday.
