A FORMER Malvern College pupil has dreams of following in Jenson Button's footsteps as a Formula One star.

Jonathan Baker, aged 20, is currently driving in the UK Formula Ford Racing Championships with Team JLR.

Having finished second in the British Racing Drivers' Club championships last year, his first full season in competitive racing, Jonathan has now caught the eye of some of the sport's big names.

Jonathan said: "I'm desperate to make it to the top ranks of the motor sport world. I can only hope that I get my one chance to prove myself."

He clearly has talent but the path to the racing world's summit is littered with obstacles. The expensive driving costs, difficulty finding sponsors and the physical dangers that the sport brings could prove hard to overcome.
