BUSINESS volunteers from well- known Worcestershire companies such as Rabjohns, Worcester Bosch and the Malvern defence firm QinetiQ left their busy working schedules to spend some time with younger members of the community this week.
They visited pupils from Cranham Primary School in Warndon to offer their expertise and to seek out the aspiring entrepreneurs of the future.
The event was organised by Young Enterprise, the West Midlands charity better known for its Company Programme that involves lower sixth form students running their own companies for a year.
"It's a long time since I've been in a primary classroom, and while I hope I taught the children something of value from my years of experience as a production engineer, I know I learnt from them," said Kevin Lee, chairman of Young Enterprise South Worcestershire Area Board, who 'lent a hand' over the two days.
"I'd like to thank Rabjohns, Worcester Bosch and QinetiQ for their support in providing volunteers and the materials to run the programme.
With their help we were able to give some 420 children a memorable couple of days."
