DROITWICH Spa golfer John Bickerton made today's third round at the French Open in Paris.
The Worcestershire star was joint 17th on two under par after carding a 71 par round on the second day.
Bickerton was eight shots off leader Eduardo Romero with the 50-year-old Argentine stunning the crowds with a nine under par 62.
Romero could become the oldest winner in European Tour history.
Hereford's David Park did not progress beyond the second day, improving slightly on his first effort with a 73 but finishing joint 102nd with five under par.
