TWO county teachers have won awards for their inspiring commitment to their pupils at a prestigious ceremony.
Judges at the Regional Teaching Awards awarded Art teacher Rosie Moss, at Baxter College, Kidderminster a Distinction, and Debbie Morgan, a maths teacher at Pershore High School, a Commendation.
Debbie Morgan's head teacher at Pershore High School, Clive Corbett, described her as an exceptional, if modest, teacher.
He said: "Debbie came to the school six years ago, and she has made a fabulous impact both with her colleagues and with the students with whom she works.
"She is very modest about her achievements but we know better and she deserves this award," he said.
Success has come quickly for the 28-year-old - this is her first job since she completed her teacher training, and her pupils have attained some excellent exam results.
Ms Morgan will become the acting department head of mathematics in September.
Ms Moss said she was very pleased with her award - one level below the category winner.
"It was wonderful to be nominated by a pupil because it is them on the receiving end," she said. "One of my sixth form students made the nomination and the principal, the deputy and others backed it.
"It's just a joy to be working here. I have never worked so hard or enjoyed myself in a job as much as I have here."
