EATEN one ice cream too many this summer? Reeled in horror at the sight of your wobbly bits in a holiday snap? Never fear, the Worcester News is here.
We've teamed up with Leisure Connection, which manages Wor-cester Swimming Pool, Perdiswell Leisure Centre and Perdiswell Park Golf Course, and are set to launch Community Fit Club.
Similar to ITV's Celebrity Fit Club, which has seen the likes of Anne Widdecombe shedding the pounds, we need two teams to take part in the scheme.
Each team will be given free access to the facilities at Worcester Swimming Pool, Perdiswell Leisure Centre, Perdiswell Park Golf Course, Harpers Fitness Gym at Nunnery Wood Sports Complex and St John's Sports Centre, for a period of eight weeks.
Both teams will be given fitness tests and a personal trainer will devise an exercise regime specifically for each person taking part, as well as giving weekly, one-on-one training sessions. A nutritionist will also be on hand to help produce healthy eating plans and aid weight loss.
Each team should consist of up to five members and will attend weekly 'weigh-ins'. The team to lose the most weight will win.
If you would like to take part, write to Emma Cullwick at Worcester News, Berrows House, Hylton Road, Worcester, WR2 5JX, or email ec@thisisworcester.co.uk
You should include details of who makes up your team and the reason you would like to take part, as well as your address and telephone number. The deadline for nominations is Saturday, July 9.
