A SPANISH visitor to County Hall was so impressed with Worcester-shire Social Services that she returned with some of her colleagues.
Rosa Morales, co-ordinator of social services at Mancomunitat La Plana, brought two social workers, a social educator and a family worker to meet staff and visit bases around the county.
"I want to give the team the same chance of experiencing and learning from the techniques and expertise of the county council as I had during my first visit," she said.
The group was welcomed to County Hall yesterday morning by council chairman Derek Prodger, before going out to visit Worcestershire Royal Hospital and Age Concern.
Operational services manager Paul Purnell said: "In particular, they were keen to look at our services for children and families, older people supported at home, people with serious mental health problems, and also asylum seekers."
The delegation also plans to go to Worcester's New-town Hospital, a family support centre in Bromsgrove and a sheltered housing scheme in Evesham during their two-day visit.
