MUSIC lovers and festival fans are in for a treat this summer when Bromsgrove hosts its own live extravaganza.
The Bromsgrove Big One will see revellers flock to Sanders Park to watch bands like Stipe, the UK's top REM tribute act, and Bromsgrove's very own rockers Trigger.
Six hours of live music will be on show at the Kidderminster Road park this Saturday.
Also on the line up is Tom Burbridge, Beneva, Eskimo Friends, Arkaine, Page 44, The Steve Raymond Band and Hey Pablo.
The day of live music has being put on by the Alexandra Hospital radio station Pulse 1350am, in association with the Regal Garages in Bromsgrove, and The Bromsgrove Carnival 2005.
Event organiser Ian Barstow said: "The Bromsgrove Big One is shaping up to be one of the best free music events of the year.
"We have planned this for over six months and with the sponsorship of Regal Garages in Bromsgrove we have been able to provide a full outside stage and sound system. This will really add to the Bromsgrove Carnival on its 25th anniversary year. There will be music for every body's taste so it really will be a day for all the family to enjoy."
The event will kick off at 12pm before the Broms Proms showpiece featuring a firework display and orchestra takes to the park on the evening.
