The search for dragonflies will be on at Bishops Wood Centre near Stourport, on Sunday, July 3rd.
Worcestershire's dragonfly expert, Mike Averill will lead a trip around the centre tracking down various species, including the Emperor and the Common Darter, as well as several species of damselfly.
The trip starts at 2.30pm and organisers are hoping to find some new species as well as the ones they know are already there.
As well as the dragonfly trip, the centre will also be putting on a moonlight moth hunt later in July. Members of the public are welcome to join the experts on a moonlight-guided walk through Bishops Wood, as the centre plays host to National Moth Night on July 9th.
Over a hundred different species of moth inhabit the 70acre's of ancient woodland including the Elephant Hawk and Poplar Hawk.
The moth hunt begins at 9pm and members of public are advised to bring their own torches!
Both events are organised by Friends of Bishops Wood and admission is £3 for adults and £1 for children.
