LEWIS Barnes won the Under 16s Fred Perry Challenge National Tennis tournament.
Barnes, from Torton near Kidderminster, def-eated Alex Bull 6-3, 6-3 in an exciting final, held alongside the Club Med Cup grass tournament at the prestigious Roehampton Club.
Barnes, who possesses a strong forehand and dangerous serve, began his journey to the title back in December, with some 1,800 fellow competitors throughout Great Britain.
As a result of his victory he receives a Fred Perry clothing contract and a day at Wimbledon.
Winners also had the unique opportunity to play an exhibition match at the Club Med Cup on the show court.
They were presented with their trophies by star players, including former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero and Frenchman Sebastien Grosjean, twice a Wimbledon semi-finallist.
The aim of the Fred Perry Challenge is to attract children, aged 8-18, to the game of tennis.
This season's event, with entries from across England, Scotland and Wales, was the largest in the tournament's eight-year history.
Age group competitions were staged for under nines to under 18.
In addition, new British tennis hero Andrew Murray took time out from his busy schedule to help coach eight to 14-year-olds.
