THE weekend's prolonged burst of rain took its toll on local cricket teams, as games up and down the Worcester League were forced off.
Droitwich, in desperate need of the points to pull away from the bottom of Division One, saw their home game with Romsley and Hunnington called off.
In Division Two Belbroughton were unable to build on their good form when their match at home to Bromyard was called off because of the rain.
Despite this the Tons remain in third place because Netherton's match at Cookley was unable to go ahead.
In Division Three in-form Avoncroft's game away at local rivals Feckenham was another victim of the wet weather.
They remain in second, while table toppers Lye took a 23-point lead by defeating Stourport.
In Division Four Cutnall Green slipped to third, replaced by Himbleton, in the table because their match with Birlingham was called off.
