BARNT Green Spartak are set to be involved with a battle with Bromsgrove Rovers for Oldbury United winger Sean Williams this summer.
Spartak manager GJ Singh is set to speak with Williams this week to try and tempt him to the Midland Combination side.
Williams was certainly a target for Rovers boss Jimmy Mullen during spring and could be tempted to make a bid for him.
Singh said: "I know Sean pretty well and he's certainly a good player.
"I've heard about Rovers' interest, but we will see what happens."
Former Birmingham City player Ian Clarkson, aged 35, has already joined Spartak.
Clarkson, who writes for the Non-League Paper, will be available for mid-week games.
Singh is also set to speak with defender Inderpaul Khala in the next week.
Khala was on loan at Evesham United from Kidderminster Harriers, but is looking for a move and a chance to play first team football.
Winger Chris Hanson is considering quitting playing football on a Saturday and Neil Ward is a target for Redditch United.
Singh though was looking forward to the 2005/2006 season.
He said: "I will have some excellent players joining the club in the next few weeks.
"We are determined to go for broke and win the league.
"There will be a lot of competition, but we ended last season strongly and want to keep that run going."
The club has also decided to see out their final season at Alvechurch FC.
Spartak had looked at other sites, but opted to play the final season of their contract with the Midland Alliance club.
