DROITWICH Spa's new manager Thomas Goss has warned the team to find their killer instinct in the Midland Combination Division Two next season.
Goss, who replaced Kevin Blaber as manager after he left at the end of the 2004/2005 season, believes the team needs to be more ruthless.
Last season Droitwich missed out on winning promotion because they became the Midland Combination's draw specialists.
Droitwich drew ten games last season, effectively ruining their top two hopes.
He said: "We need to be more ruthless to beat other teams.
"We played some great football last season, but we dropped points because we relaxed too much and thought we had won the games."
Goss though was cautious to speak up his side's chances of winning promotion next season.
He said: "To be honest I don't want to go out and say promotion is our main aim.
"I just want us to start the season well and see where it goes from there.
"If we go out saying what we are going to do next season and it doesn't happen then we are going to look a bit silly."
Goss started training over the weekend and hinted that the squad, which has been relatively settled over the last few seasons, could see some changes.
"He said: "I'm not sure what is going on, but a few players might be leaving.
"I also want to add a few new players, which will be tough.
"New players take time to settle into a side which has not changed much in a while."
