A SCHOOL nurse, who is retiring after 42 years service to the community, has opened a village clinic following a six months refurbishment programme.
Agnes Aitken officially reopened Catshill Clinic in the Dock last Thursday after £350,000 was spent upgrading the centre to meet health and safety legislation and disability act requirements.
Agnes is based at Catshill and retires from the NHS in August.
Previously she had worked in Bromsgrove as a school nurse and has been based in Catshill since 1987.
Health chiefs thought it appropriate someone who has been such a well known figure in the area for so long should perform the ceremony.
