THERE was more than just the usual buzz around Bromsgrove Market Hall last Wednesday.
Visitors to the weekly antiques market were astonished to see a large insect clinging to the glass door at the front of the building.
Its light brown patterned wings measured some 2.5 inches across and its body was about half that length. It had six legs.
Many tried to identify the insect to no avail and checks at the town's library also drew a blank.
The most common theory put forward by amateur entomologists is that it is a type of crane fly.
