A RAINY day failed to dampen spirits at a summer fete in Wychbold on Saturday.
New Droitwich Mayoress Dorothy Morris was guest of honour at the Rashwood Nursing Home in her first official engagement without the Mayor.
She judged the children's fancy dress competition and enjoyed looking around the plants, books and cakes stalls.
About £850 was raised, which will be used to take the residents of the home on day trips.
Matron manager Ann Lodge said: "Thank you to all the people who supported the fete - we just wished we could have had sunnier weather."
