SEVEN schools in the Redditch area will be closed down in the next few years, according to the revised development plans to be laid before Worcestershire Education Committee tomorrow.
But it is expected that by the time the plan has been completed, 13 entirely new schools will have been provided in the district, three of the old ones rebuilt on new sites and the remainder adapted and extended.
If the plan is accepted by the county council, it will then be laid before the Minister of Education.
