GOLF: Simon Braithwaite was crowned Bromsgrove's champion at the golf club's annual championship over the weekend.
Braithwaite, who recorded 139, defeated defending champion Phil Dyke by six shots at the Stratford Road based club.
Craig Boland hit 124 over two rounds to defeat fellow junior Dan Bradshaw by a single stroke to win the net competition.
Braithwaite also won the Gross Score Division One section with 139, with Paul Halfpenny runner-up after hitting 148.
Dyke clinched the Net Score Division One with 135, while Lee Tynan was runner-up after hitting 136 over two rounds.
Craig Boland won the Gross Score Division Two with an overall record of 150, followed by runner-up Nick Bott (169).
Clive Richards won the Net Score Division Two by recording 130, while Jeff Rushton was second with 141.
In the Gross Score Division Three Dan Bradshaw was the winner after hitting 169, while Bill Freeman was runner-up.
Neville McDermott won the Net Score Division Three by hitting 134, while John Brady was second with 136.
