DALE Hawkes won a bronze medal at the Cobra Judo Championships at Castle Vale Leisure Centre.
The Droitwich Judo club member won his medal in the under-145 kilogram section.
Club mates Sebastian Douglas, fighting in the under-36kg section, and Jack Vaughan (under-40kg) just missed out on medals.
Robert Alloway and Carline Hill performed admirably at the British Judo Association Western Championships. Alloway came fifth in the under-60kg section, while Hill finished in the same place in the under-48kg category.
