IN HIS first outing since a crash at Mallory Park in April, Simon Andrews recorded an excellent ninth place finish at the British Supersports Championships last weekend.
The Wickhamford racer was satisfied with his comeback effort at Knockhill, while also giving TAS Suzuki team manager Philip Neill a boost during a frustrating time in Scotland.
"It's difficult coming back with no time on the bike but I'm happy enough to get a result and bring the TAS Suzuki home in the points," Andrews reflected.
"My leg is still not 100 per cent but there is a break after the next round which will give me more time to get it sorted."
"Simon rode exactly to our script this weekend and it was his first time in the saddle for quite a while," said Neill.
"Our goal for Simon was a top ten and he achieved that. He still has damage to his knee ligaments and he was riding in a lot of pain, so we will see how that pans out over the next few weeks."
