THE opening event in this year's Wychavon Parish Games took place last Saturday.
The Bellboating was staged as part of the bigger main regatta organised by Fladbury Paddle Club for local school children. Unfortunately, there was a disappointing entry, but those taking part thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
After some interesting steering with collisions between all the boats, Fladbury emerged as winners for the second successive year, with Crowle in second and Bretforton third.
Next Sunday, the ladies of the parishes when the rounders takes place at Pershore High School.
Any one wishing to help with their Parish's entry or who would just like more information on the Games is asked to contact Sue Collins, secretary of Wychavon Sport, on 01905 841269.
