SOME time ago, Redditch Council ran a competition to find our local heroes.
We are now 60 years on from the Second World War and it's time to remember all those who gave their lives for us.
No one would be here today if Hitler had won. He intended to wipe out the English like he did the Jews.
Many men went from Redditch to do their bit. They put their lives on the line every day and night.
Why doesn't the council find some of our local war heroes? There must be many out there, who have never told anyone what they did and went through.
These men are true heroes, war heroes, and we should find some of them to mark the 60th anniversary.
