YOUNGSTERS at a nursery in Droitwich were delighted when Mid Worcestershire MP Peter Luff popped in to give them a helping hand preparing healthy snacks.
Mr Luff visited WANDS Neighbourhood Nursery as part of a campaign to promote the importance an early introduction to healthy eating and nutrition. "It just goes to show that with the imagination that the nursery has showed you can promote the healthy eating message and have great fun at the same time," he said.
"They are a great team at the nursery and are doing some really important work."
The event was part of a wider campaign by the Pre-school Learning Alliance, called Feeding Young Imaginations to ensure that young children get the best start in life. Nursery manager Bekki Normoyle-Jones, said: "We always prepare healthy snacks and promote good eating habits and are proud to be part of the campaign."
