DETERMINED defender Simon Weaver has revealed that Harriers have set themselves a six point target from their next two games.
The former Lincoln man insists anything less than a maximum haul from Saturday's clash with Chester and the subsequent trip to Shrewsbury will not be good enough.
Weaver, who showed his commitment to the cause by switching to right back to cover injuries at Scunthorpe on Saturday, believes Kidderminster have enough quality to climb out of trouble.
"Our aim is to get six points from the next two games and anything other than that will be disappointing," he said.
"We've just got to be positive. I honestly can't see us going down and I think we should be aiming to finish 16th or 17th, but it's sink or swim time now."
Weaver is one of a string of newcomers brought in under Watkiss - and the 27-year-old insists there is a different atmosphere to when he first arrived. When I first came in some of the lads who were here were really quite down.
"But the lads who have remained are really quite defiant and the new lads that have come in don't want to go down.
"If you look into the players eyes you can see that the fear has been replaced by belief that we can survive."
Weaver is also full of praise for the way Watkiss has got Harriers organised, adding: "The gaffer deserves great credit for the way he has given us all jobs.
"Everybody knows what they are supposed to do and if we all do it, he's normally got a good gameplan for us.
