AWARDS were also presented to a GCSE student from Stourport High School and his five friends after they surprised his mother by redesigning her garden.
Mark Burston arranged for his five classmates, Daniel Stevens, James Cronin, Ali O'Sullivan, Ollie Philips, all 16, and James Walsh, 15, to give a Ground Force-style makeover to the garden.
The six teenagers spent two days transforming the overgrown garden with flowerbeds to surprise his mum when she came home from hospital after major surgery for breast cancer.
Headteacher, Liz Quinn, who nominated the group, said: "We are absolutely delighted that the boys have achieved this award. It is really well deserved. I think everybody is very proud of them."
