WYRE Forest Cycle Racing Club's Alan Griffiths and Sue Middup-Jones we-re sweet upon the seats of a bicycle made for two with a tandem triumph.
The duo took the fastest prize in 26-48 at the Evesham & District Wheelers 10-mile time trial.
They hope to continue their good form in September, when they will ride in the Duo Normand time trial, in France.
Dave Barnes rode to the quickest club time of 22-48 to finish ninth overall in the individual category.
The riders had a strong tail wind to the turn, but had to battle against it all the way back to the line. Dave Wood completed in 23-03, Bartram 23-30, Pedersen 23-37, Doms 24-03. Davies rode off course for a short way but still managed 24-50, and Mick Gray finished in 27-29.
Steve Burns came sixth in the Redditch Road & Path 10 mile time trial on a hot but breezy Evesham by-pass course on Saturday.
He powered against a strong headwind on the return leg to finish in 21 minutes 59 seconds, taking the club 10-mile champion's title, being run in the same race.
John Parker rode to a new personal best of 22-27, followed by Dave Wood in 22-37, Gary Bartram 22-46, Richard Pedersen 23-39, Kris Doms 23-42, and Karl Davies also achieved a new personal best time of 23-58.
Jon Howard made a return to racing following a year-long lay-off, and completed the event in 25-17, while Mick Gray finished in 27-33.
The overall winner of the time trial was Rob Wood, of LUKRacing.net with 20-58.
Promising junior member Pete Banham finished ninth overall in a fast bunch sprint at Mallory Park, and currently lies eighth in the overall standings.
Parker won the latest round of the club time trial competition on the 10-mile course around Great Witley, powering around the undulating circuit to record a time of 23-47.
He was followed by Wood with 24-0, with Bartram third in 24-15.
Other times: Andy Convery 24-34, Joe Rowe 25-20, Davies 25-30, James Smith 26-49, jonathon Higgins 26-50, Chris Poole 27-09, Brian Clarke 27-19, Pedersen 27-27, Ruth Finney 28-16, Dean Harrison 28-21, Mike Clackson 28-21, Gray 29-35. Griffiths and Middup-Jones rode their tandem for a time of 28-37.
